so my bf found these speakers in the trash but they were looking pretty dull and I decorated them. I used oil pastels which work really well, it wasn't my idea- he and and a few friends decorated the other 2 that way about a year ago and it still looks as good as new! Goes on very smoothly too so as long as nothing brushes up against it they're good to go.   Oh and yes we have a full 4 speaker getup...in our tiny bedroom  Grin It's freakin awesome!

Those are sweet! That's a great idea to turn something ugly to something pretty! Cheesy

I love those.  Especially the bottom of the first one and the left side of the second one.

Those are awesome!! Do they work?  You may have said so, but all I recall is that they were found in the dumpster (bonus!).  They're so effing cool!  Have you thought about using a spray sealer?  You could mask off the speakers...?  Anyway...so cool!

StefanieNIN- they work perfectly! Hmm sealer you say? Any idea what kind you would have to use? My sealer experience doesn't extend to oil based materials.....

For oil you may be able to use a spray-fix once it dries.  Spray would probly be better for pastels, since if you (and you could do this, you would just have to detach the plates) "painted" it with polyeurethane, it may smear.  However, you could do a test on a small corner or something.  Hope this helps.
