Hey, the knitting meetup for this month is this coming wednesday, and for my part of town, we're meeting at Jake's in decatur on Church St at seven pm. If anybody from either of the craft groups (the new one or the old one) wants to come out we can discuss plans for the future. And there will be people available (me, at least) to do knitting lessons, too.

I am moving to Duluth on Monday. Are you still doing this knitting group? I would like to find one up there. It is one of the things I will miss about leaving Florida - we have a pretty good knitting group started down here and I want to find a new one. I have no idea about how far things are yet, I have only been up there for a weekend to interview and begin looking for a place to live. Hoping this is going on or you know of one that might be better for me. Have a great weekend and can't wait to be in your neck of the woods.

There is a knitting group that meets every tuesday at la madeleine in duluth. It's part of the atlanta stitchnbitch yahoo group. And my knitting meetup still meets in decatur the third wednesday of every month at Jake's at seven pm.

Thanks Crafty Mama!
I am going to check out the tuesday thing here and when I get a little more settled and figure out how to get around better I will try and check out your group too. Thanks for the info. Hope to see you around soon.

Is this still happening? Smiley (I just realized that if it is, I saw this post and missed the meetup by a day. Ah well - next month?) (Jake's is moving - so would the meetup move too?)

The Yahoo! stuff is here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/stitchnbitch-atlanta/

I really wish a new Meetup.com knitting group would happen for the Atlanta area.  I'm particularly interested in a Tucker/Embry Hills area meeting.

I'm up for this as well.  I'm in the Emory/Decatur area and I'd love to meet new people and to have additional resources for learning to knit!

Well, I can answer my own question now - there *is* a knitting group that meets at Jake's on Tuesdays at 5pm. (I've gone a few times and plan to continue to go regularly.) It's a lot of fun! Smiley
