hey dose adding dreads to your hair, fake ones a mean, well up you hair for life? dose the roots get damaged from attaching them

well, if you leave them in too long, they start dreading at the root, but they should be really easy to take out for a while and put back in!

here are the pics of the false dreadsies I did last week:

- these are the double ended dreads before I put them in (duh!):

- these are her normal dreads I put in 6 months ago:

- this is the end result:

Ok, I hope the pics don't turn out to big, so what do you guys think?

I didn't see that anyone had posted a hair tutorial, so I figured I'd post one I made a while back. It's on my live journal and has very large pictures. This is a very very very basic method of making a fall.

Yes, I know the color is all wrong for me. It's just what I had lying around.

BTW - I found that the bundles of big floofy hair that looks intimidating the bag is a bunch of fun to wear!

Oh man i am fully loving this thread!! It's inspired me to get synthetic dreads<3

I was checking out the prices for a full head and it costs almost 200 bucks Shocked too bad i'm not loaded Tongue so i've decided that maybe i should opt for just some synthetic dreads placed randomly throughout my hair.. has this been done? is there the possibility that it'll come out looking stupid??

much love <3

can't you just do it yourself for much less? the hair is actually really cheap and wool doesn't cost that much either!

Might just be me who thinks this, but I'm of the opinion that randomly placed dreads in hair just looks.. well.. a little silly.

Dreads aren't hard to make (it's all in the backcombing!), and as someone else mentioned, synth hair is cheap! Just make sure it's kk (kanekalon) and go for it!

Hi!
I noticed that no-one has posted in this thread in a while but.. well I will now in any case Smiley

This is my first set of falls. I learnt a lot from doing them, and know what I'm going to do differently the next time I make a set. And next time, I'll go for white and blue instead of blonde and brown I think.

In the descriptions I had, it said to use a hair flattening iron (hm.. I don't think that is the word for it) and I never thought about using a normal iron. Since I don't have a flattening iron there are small "strands" loose everywhere since I used Kanekalon. It worked kind of okay though.

Anyways:
