I was tired of my old sewing pincushion (you know... the ugly tomato pass down the line from the beginning of sewing).  So, I made myself a little cupcake ami, put some sprinkles on her and gave her life  Cheesy

For the pattern.... very simple!!!  This sounds right, but if you find an error, let me know so I can fix it.  I'm trying to stitch it in my head Smiley

Abbreviations:
inc = increase 2 sc in next 1 sc
dec = decrease stitch 2 sc together making 1 sc

Cake part:

R1– Ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook, join together at end of each round
R2- Ch 1, inc in each stitch (12 sts)
R3- Ch 1, *1 sc, inc* (18 sts)
R4- Ch 1, *2 sc, inc* (24 sts)
R5- Ch 1, *3 sc, inc* (30 sts)
R6- Through back loops only:
sc around (30 sts)
R7- resume regular stitches - sc around (30 sts)
R8- *4 sc, inc* (36 sts)
R9-13: Sc around (36 sts)
Bind off, leaving long tail for sewing to frosting

Frosting part:

R1– Ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook, join together at the end of each round
R2- Ch 1, inc in each stitch (12 sts)
R3- *1 sc, inc* (18 sts)
R4- *2 sc, inc* (24 sts)
R5- *3 sc, inc* (30 sts)
R6- *4 sc, inc* (36 sts)
R7-11: Sc around (36 sts)
R12: *4 dc in one st, 1 sc* around, join together, bind off, weave in loose end.
I used scrap yarn and just went and stitched jimmies on.  After the fact, I realized that the pins I'm going to put on it are all bright colours and probably won't look so hot with pastel frosting & jimmies Smiley  Oh well.  I used 9mm safety eyes.

Sew bottom to top making sure to only use the underside stitches so it doesn't show through the frosting.  When you are 2/3 through, stuff.  Finish sewing and you will have a new friend!

If you make one, post a picture!!!  I'd love to see variations!!!
