it was my mothers idea for this swap, so i signed her up on her account too, so shes joining us and she is always bugging me asking when she gets a partner

my mom isn't very good with a computer, or i would have her signed up for this swap, too! maybe now she'll want to learn when i offer to teach her. :]]

and it came with a knitting pattern too.  Cheesy

Now THAT'S an awesome idea!!  Cheesy

Wouldn't it be awesome if a book like "The Devil Wears Prada" came with a sewing pattern for something really fashionable?  Smiley  Now I'm going to be thinking about that for all the books I read (that aren't crafting books, of course).  Smiley

Forget the sewing pattern (I don't know how to read them lol), just give me an outfit from the movie! LoL
Really though, it would be neat if all the books that were kind of crafty came with a craft.... They'd sell better!

Ok, about moms, my mom is good with computers but not good with craftster and other online groups, picture posting etc.  So, I do most of it for her.  Sign her up, find her messages, post her pictures.  And it is ok because I think it is good for her, but so much activity in one place overwhelms her.  So be patient with your moms and help them sign up.

MY mom just looks at craftster, she doesn't even have an account, but yeah she's pretty jealous of this swap too.

HAHA maybe we should do a "for our moms" swap sometime!

omg, that would be such a great idea.  Cheesy

I guess we all love our moms. lol My mom doesn't have a craftster account but she's realy happy that I'm doing swaps and that I started crafting, etc. And although she's really busy, she's actually doing something herself as well right now and she's back to crafting too.  Cheesy

Oh, I'm patient with her, she just isn't patient with me. She isn't patient with anyone when it comes to learning something about the computer, tv, or her cellphone. But I think I'll talk to her about doing what you do, because that way she can learn a little at a time, and be a craftster! :]]

When I first saw this, I though it said "swap our moms", and I was like huh? It reminded me of that TV show WifeSwap. But, now that I can read again, I can see what it really says lol, and it sounds like a really good idea!

I'm actually kinda jealous about you guys having crafty moms.  My mom couldn't care less about crafts!  But she definitely appreciates my handmade gifts at least and always oohs and aahs over my craft adventures.  Smiley

It is great that she loves your crafts.  There is a whole thread about giving handmade gifts to people that don't appreciate them.

They have done swaps for significant others and for kids, I think a for our moms would be good.
