After testing this pattern out with some random fabric that I had, I've been planning to make a horror themed bag. Your post with your skull bag has inspired me to finally get around to actually making it. I love how yours turned out!  Grin

I do have one question though, do you know how much piping you used?

Just want to make sure I get enough...I hate when I sit down with a project and have to stop for a trip to joann's or walmart

Wow that is brilliant...don't mean to bother you, but, if you don't mind, can you post a tutorial of that first bag (the big one) because i think it's adorable!! Smiley

thanks x

Absolutely awesome! I would never dream of making my own luggage! If I did, I'm sure it would make through the first trip, what with the way I cut corners when sewing!

I used about 5.5 metres (that's about 6 yards).  When sewing the piping to the bag, I pretty much used my zipper foot for the whole project, even when sewing the seams, so I could get as close as possible to the piping.

Aw, thanks Kam  Wink .  Someone has already done a tutorial.  Here is the link:

The measurements just say "leave 1 inch for seams".  Mmm, I wasn't sure whether to add seam allowances or whether they were included.  I just cut the pieces as the measurements were given and I used a 1/2 inch seam allowance.
