I made this Saturday night in about 2 hours. The top was a New Look pattern dress that only has 4 pieces. And the pants are a pj pant pattern that I just sewed cylinders of scrap fabric from the top onto the hems with elastic thread (MY NEW LOVE!!!! More of that coming soon. Seriously, I think I'm going to build a shrine to the stuff.)

Hooray for fast and easy! And elastic thread!

It's fantastic!  Looks like bunny loves it too. Good job.  Is the back buttoned, or ?

No buttons on the back. They're kind of hard to see because the pattern is so busy - but there are buttons on the straps right at her shoulders.

That fabric is gorgeous.  I've been looking for something similar to that with no luck.

I love the dress and the pants and it looks like she does too.  She is beautiful.

That fabric is great!!  Reminds me of a cross between psychadelic hippie and a peacock...

...Could you please back up and explain that "cylinders of scrap fabric sewn on with elastic thread" part again? I'm thinking that's where I got lost...Are we talking about elastic thread through the needle or in the bobbin (or both)?? By "cylinder" did you mean sewing a tube with the cut edges to the inside?

Sorry to be such a nuisance...
