o0o. Wow!  Shocked How'd you do this?
I bet it required a bit of sewing...

Cry I need to learn how to sew.

I just bought a shirt, solid white, that was this style. It was 30.00! 30.00!! And you got yours for .99 cents. Gah! I'm so jealous of you.

Well, I like it very much anyways...  Grin

comments?

Looks good- the only thing I would add is to just give it a good iron, to bring out its shape.*

(*but I admit it is a personal preference of mine to iron out structured cottons, like dress shirts..)

OK! Here's the tute!Step 1. Find a mens large button down shirt with a cool pattern.

Step 2. Turn the shirt inside out with the shirt still buttoned.
Step 3. Measure your chest, waist, and hips and pin down the shirt.

Step 4. Sew along the lines you made with the pins to make the shirt fit you accordingly.
Step 5. Turn the shirt right side out. Cut the sleeves to your desired length. Hem.
Pair this top with a belt and your ready to go.

This is great! Lately, my thrift store shopping has been all about craft supplies- this shirt would make a great purse fabric, this one would make a great lining, etc. Now I have another use for large men's shirts with cool patterns. Thanks for sharing!

Hooray! Thanks so much for the tute! I am super excited, and will DEFINITELY be making some for myself. My brother recently lost over 50lbs (in about two months  Shocked ) and so I have a bunch of big Ralph Lauren button downs to fiddle with--woohoo!
