I started making rat hammocks and I thought I would share with you because they are so much fun to make! I wanted to make really nice, plush hammocks that are a bit hard to find typically.

So far I am using lambskin fleece, flannelette and really soft cotton.
It has been a tribulation to try to make sure the ends dont fray and the husband came up with the great idea of melting the ends of the polyester bias tape to ensure they are wash friendly, which if you have rats you know is very important!

Here are some examples:

Corner Hammocks:

Pocket Hammock:

Standard Large Hammock:

Those are such a cute idea. We have an over active chichilla who has been very luggish because the waether is getting hot. It would be great if he had a bed

They look really good. I used to love making hammocks for my ratties but sadly they've all passed away now  Cry The most recent one I made was little miss naughty one which went down well. I like how the pocket starts at the side, ours always started in the middle. Hmmm ideas.

Those are so cute! And very professional looking!

My little rattie-face, Clara, LOVES her hammock. Sadly, it's not in the best condition now, so I'm going to have to find her a replacement.

Those are great! And I love rats. I used to have a pet rat named Rufus, but my mom made me give him away. =( At least he's still alive. ^^

those are incredibly well made! You could definitely get some good dough for those on the Rats Rule! forum if you haven't already.

i made a really make-shift hammock for my babies just out of a scrap, but this has completely inspired me to make a better one.
