After seeing the mugs they had on ThinkGeek, I made this for my brother's birthday Cheesy

It's just ceramic paint on a 49p mug from Woolworth's, but I think it's pretty effective.

that's awesome! I love thinkgeek....and I've been itching to do something myself rather than buy from there.....this is the perfect start! I looked at that mug myself and wanted it! Good going!

And its only copyright infringement if she sells it....come on....this whole site is full of unofficial copyright infringement...ha ha

Neat idea! I love all of Thinkgeek's stuff. I'm sure your brother will love it.

But can they really copyright a caffeine molecule? Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that that type of "design" is a standard molecular diagram used in chemistry textbooks, etc.

It's definitely not copyrighted... unless of course you're talking about god (or whoever you believe created molecules)!

It looks awesome... I'm jealous of your brother!

That's nice!  I'm getting a molecule tattooed on me at the end of my degree (adenosine, if anyone's curious - used in both DNA and as a source of intracellular energy... very important to me!) if I get a good grade.  So I think it's a fantastic mug.   I'm tempted to make some Ts with oestrogen on... for when I'm feeling hormonal.

Great idea! I was thinking I might make a whole kitchen set on this theme. Caffiene on the coffee, tannin on the tea, ethanol etched onto the vodka bottles... not forgetting oestrogen on the chocolate...
