I saw this on Craftzine and wanted to try it ever since then.

My boyfriend came home from school today for the summer, and along with a Kryptonium-green cake, I wanted to make him a shirt as a welcome-home present. He has a green shirt that accidentally got bleached out, and he loves it to death, because it looks "artistic," so now it was my turn. I made the symbol in Illustrator.

After that, I started looking for things to put on my shirt and happened to find a box of scrapbooking letters I used for a project. 100 points if you know what Bartlet for America means!

I did two more, but Photobooth is pussing out on me, so more later.
people love me do you?

Bartlet for America.... The West Wing?
Maybe I'm just a little into that show.
Nice superman. I'm sure he'll love it.

Thanks! Yeah, he got me into West Wing, which is one of his family things, and I've yet to see any cute WW-geek shirts. His parents got a kick out of it, and now he wants one. Less girly, though.

Here are the rest of them.

And another one I made using crochet hooks, scissors, and yarn:

This one was a little bit of a mess-up. I used mardi gras beads to spell out Love, but they didn't quite work. I still like how it came out, though. It's like an explosion Smiley

What an awesome idea! I love the scissors and crochet hooks... but does bleach hurt metal? Maybe the beads would work if you had bigger beads? I dunno. I think I'm gonna try me some bleach when I get home from work... Cheesy

It's not as easy as it was

I have one arguement.  Since bleach is a strong base, don't you neutralize it with some vinegar after?  Washing it with soap would just be adding more base, wouldn't it?

Sorry, but I have a friend whose pants dissolved, and I don't want to make a shirt, fall in love with it and watch it die.  I sound so geeky and melodramatic.

Didn't mention that I love the shirts.  Especially the hooks and scissors one.
