I got this kit about 6 years ago, and just now finished it. I'm so proud of myself, that I had to post it.

Couching with with the gold thread around the main image was a nightmare (I am NEVER doing that again), as was cording around the outside (in red), but I think it came out okay.

It still needs to be ironed and framed, but its done! and it sorta-kinda matches what my room is going to look like by the end of the summer.

Very nice job. You're hard work on the gold pulls the entire piece together.

Thanks!
I think I'm going to put it in a plain black frame or a dark red stained one. I can't decide.

Ha!  I have the exact same kit as well.  I have gotten as far as sorting out and separating the thread.  Since I discovered subversive cross stitch and sublime stitching though, I want to finish it because it makes me feel bad (well, maybe halfway bad) to buy new stuff when I have scads of stuff to occupy me already.  Anyway.

So that's what it looks like!  Swell job, musicaddict.  And thanks for the heads up on the couching.
