Thread painted flower on headband

Thread painting on a print fabric is so fun.  Cut this flower off the fabric, fused it to wool felt and free motioned away.  Am pleased with the lightness of the flower and there is some ability to shape it because of the wool felt and stitching.  Was going to sew it directly to the headband, but changed it to a pin for more versatility.  The button center and beads are added by hand sewing. 

here is a bit of a back view - I rather like the red stitching on the white felt -  this is encouraging me to do some free form flowers on plain felt.  Somehow, am usually more secure filling in a fabric print.
