Make Art - Not War

I thought I would share an idea that many can try here...since the materials are something nearly everyone has or can easily find. Some time ago I began altering matchbooks. I sold quite a few of them on eBay...I no longer make them to sell - but they are fun to create and collect -- sort of like mini works of art...even smaller than ATCs.

I used acrylic paints, inks and rubber stamps and then distressed them. Here are some samples:

Thanks to everyone who left a comment!
As far as coming up with the idea...I happened to be cleaning up my studio and found a bag of old matchbooks I've saved for years...I just grabbed one and started painting it...and it just evolved. There was not much thought...LOL! I was just relaxing after cleaning the studio.
