Has anyone here taken a stab at either of the knitting patterns shown in Adorn Magazine?
Pattern Play, a sweater vest in fair isle
http://adornmag.com/webexclusives-fair-isle.php
or
Ladylike Looks, a cropped sweater shrug
http://adornmag.com/webexclusives-cropped-jacket.php

I was considering doing either of these, and searched for anything I could about them on craftster, but to no avail. I'm thinking about subbing yarn for both of them, as I have a buttload of acrylic yarn that's just begging to be used (yay college!). Any thoughts/comments on these? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for mentioning this - I hate to say it - but I've never seen this magazine!!! Looks great! Do you subscribe - is it worth it??

I'll take a look at the patterns - they are cute!! I'm sure you could use acrylic - as long as you get the gauge... it may change the look some - but if you don't care - what the heck!! I LOVE that vest too!! The colors are what really grab me.
