Wow these are great!  Friday Fiber never ceases to amaze me.

I have been gone for some time, but I am back with two skeins that took...umm over a month to finish....mostly because we could not get back to our house...

First up is Spunky Eclectic spun with moonstone and pearls


The second is a batte from Luxe Fiber Spun with felted flowers and silk thread to ply

Atsuko, I love the darker blue and green batt. It reminds me of a monet painting. Are those recycled sari silk bits in there?

I love red tide too. I have never tried drip dyeing. Maybe I'll have to give it a try.
I love fiber fridays. Bring it on crafters!

I think this is for me since I'm the only one who posted batts... ? But yeah! There is some recycled sari silk in there. I bought some off ebay and am having fun with it. Thanks!

I have a few pics, and my computer is fixed just in time to post for Fiber Friday. Yay!

My FIL bought this lush roving for me (it's as big as my head, haha!)


And I tried spinning thicker than my usual. I'm starting to get a lot better at it now that I've spun up two 3-ply skeins!

What's black and white and black and white and red?



Yarn I made yesterday from some sheep shed studio stuff.

So many fun ones already! I'm especially loving Red Tide, Carnival, and Flowers in the sky.

My first few months as a spinner, I rocked the singles and plying made me anxious. Looks like I'm overcoming that really fast!
80 yds of Sheep Studio roving plied at a heavy worsted weight, dyed with acid dyes.     


160 yds heavy sport/ thin worsted (?) 2-plied and dyed with acid dyes. I keep trying for "chartreuse" but always get neon green! Grrr.

I think I am fiber friday cursed. Every fiber friday something happens that makes it impossible for me to post. This time I was getting ready to post and uploading pictures from my main computer when IT DIED. I mean majorly died, it won't turn on and I think it's bad. Ugh. So sadly I can't show you everything I did this week- only what got uploaded before the crash.

I got a spinning wheel this week so I haven't been online very much. I LOVE my wheel so much. I really do. I dream about it. I enjoy spinning with it SO much more than with my drop spindle.

This is my second time plying and my second skein on the wheel I am in love with this one

This one was done on my handspindle and I dyed it myself with wilton dyes.
