Samsara, your backgammon board is beautiful! If I wasn't comepletely uncoordinated when it came to sewing I'd attempt a Ravenclaw version!  Smiley

I'm not sure if anyone's posted this link yet, but The Leaky Cauldron's Craft page has lots of brilliant ideas for HP-related crafts.

Personally, I'm making some of the Skiving Snackboxes to take with me to the book released tonight... and I'm far too excited!

Thanks Beastie! I also made a wand for stupifying Muggles who try to disturb me when I'm reading the new book - tomorrow!!!  Grin

It's made from Cherry Tree wood and Golden Nargle Resin - I think they call it Fimo in the Muggle world *lol* I stripped the branch of bark and sanded it down, then made the handle from the Nargle Resin Fimo. Then I rubbed some beeswax into the wood. I like the way it's all lumpy and bumpy, it feels more natural  Wink

Samsara, that wand rocks. Very clever, using some Golden Nargle Resin!

My wand isn't as cool; it's just a size 15 rosewood knitting needle. Cheesy

I have to confess : My grand plans for knitting jumpers for my brother and I... fell through >___< But! I was there at midnight, in my luna-ey finery, and the radish earrings, wand and cloak at least were handmade. The girls behind me in the queue /got/ the radishes, but a couple of boys who walked past actually stopped and pointed! I felt wonderfully eccentric, they were the only bit of my costume that you could really see, owing to the (very sexy Wink and very necessary) rain-macs that the Waterstones staff were handing out.

OK, here is my July OoP stuff:

DS's DA shirt:

Front

Back

And my radish earings:

I actually made 5 pairs of these, so all my friend could have a pair to wear to the movie as well.  (Sorry about the blurry pic, my camera hates jewelry.)
