I've had vast plans to make something super for pretty much every challenge, but I've never had the time.  Unfortunately, same with this one.  I had an amazing idea, but I've come to terms with my realization that I'm not going to have time to do it in between the baby blankets I'm making for a friend's expected TWINS!  I still want to enter though, so I figure why not enter something I'd been planning to make for a long time anyway?

It's nothing really special, but it's WAY useful.  A water bottle holder!

Staying hydrated is really important, especially during the summer, but I'm a busy girl, and with one more thing to lug around all over the place, my water bottle gets dropped a LOT.  After almost losing it down the side of a mountain a few weeks ago, I bit the bullet and just MADE it like I'd been planning to for the past several years.  And now I don't drop my water AND the holder keeps the sun from warming it up too fast!

Good luck to everybody else.  I know I won't win, but I don't care.   Kiss

If it lives in the water or flies in the air, I'm in love with it. In New Zealand I saw a flying fish and almost wet myself.

I like how it's useful. Why didn't I think of making a cozy for my water bottle?

cool.  Grin You even have time to put embellishments on it, if you wanted to... like stitchings (flower?) or buttons or beads... etc. If you get bored between now and May 24th!    Smiley

That's awesome.  I tried to crochet a water bottle cover a few years ago, but it kept falling off.  Adding the strap is an excellent idea.

What a great idea!  I am always losing my bottle of water and this is the perfect solution.
