Dunno if anything like this has been done before or not  Smiley

How about a Craft My Pet swap? The goal is to create a craft incorporating images of your swap partner's beloved pet or pets. This can be done by painting or drawing, sculpting, stencil, crochet, knitting, felt, embroidery [sends Badbird puppy eyes] or any other thing your crafty mind can think of. Iron on image transfers can work too, as long as it's obvious a significant bit of work has been put into the rest of the craft.

As I've never even participated in a swap before, I'm gladly handing this over to anyone who would like to organize it so they can come up with more guidelines at their discretion.  Just pm me and give me a heads up if you decide to do it, so that I can join in on the fun Smiley

How about crafting for each other's pets?  I'm not very good with drawing/painting but I can deck out your pooch/cat/ferret with the best goody bags around.
What do you think?

I'm bumping this because I had a similar idea. I'm new, too, but I thought it would be fun to craft a pet or craft for a pet. Making pet clothes, toys, treats, collars, leashes, beds, etc, could be fun. I have dogs, but I think it would be cool to make cat toys.

interesting idea.  I love stuff with my cat on it.  I made a purse once with his picture ironed on it and I had cat people coming up to me and asking about it every where I went. Smiley

I would really love to do a craft for my pet swap. Flowerwitch suggested one of these to me a while ago. My Maggie dog just had one of her legs amputated and is feeling kinda down (go figure). I would rather make more crafts than art for this too. Cute little scarfs with your pets name on it, personalized food bowls, bed slipcovers, toys... oh the possiblities!
If we do signups in a little while - Octoberish- I would be willing to organize this one. It would be my first time organizing, but I'd like to give it a go.

My three ferrets my kitties and my large dog would love to be crafted for.
Of course not all at once though lol!

Personally if someone were to receive an item from me using it would be a large project. Iron on transfers those are a big project if done correctly.
You have to trim them just right, make sure the colors are nice and possible adjust them a few times. Figure in for the usual forgetting to flip the image backwards the first 3 times it's printed. and then iron it on which takes a bit of time if you want it to last.

Just my point of view. Iron-ons are a craft all on their own. Wink Of course we'd want more than just a bag or t-shirt though!

So, does anyone want to go with this swap and get some sign ups going? When is a good time for everyone?
