I just shelled out $57.75 for two skeins of Fino Alpaca with a Twist.  That's more than I've ever spent on one kind of yarn EVER.  Wow.

It's going to be my shawl for my wedding this January, though, so that makes it worth it.  Cheesy

Congrats on the wedding, and congrats on the purchase! For such a special event, it's totally worth it.

I know exactly what you are talking about!! I recently spent $250 for three skeins of silk yarn and two skeins of ozark handspun. I fell in love with the silk and just kind of glanced at the price and it didn't really register... I was so enchanted by it's beauty!!! When I got to the cash register and the gal gave me the total I about died!!!! I hope she didn't see the expression in my mind... but a taxi was waiting outside for me and I was so in love that I just did it!!! So - if I can't eat for a couple of week - well - I can stand to lose a few pounds!!!

Congrats on the wedding!!! And congrats on the yarn!!!

I'm bracing myself to buy a couple of skeins of Buffalo Gold for my dad's Christmas present -- $60 a freakin' skein, retail!  But my dad is obsessed with buffaloes and he will love to have a hat made out of buffalo yarn.  I thought about making a scarf, but not at those prices!

Yes!!!- buy that yarn!!!! If my LYS carried Buffulo Gold I'd already have some!!! Some yarns are worth it - it just makes you choke to put that money down on the counter... but in the end - it feels so good!!!! And - it's something that will last forever!!!

Your dad will love you for it!!! Let us know how it turns out!
