PS: The Walmart where I work [in the portrait studio, not the actual Walmart] had big Virgin garden statues for sale; you might need one of those.

Holy Mother of ... !!!! Wow! I love it all! Well, almost all . . . I think the Q-tips put into some metal tin would be nice. But, Wow! You really did it nice! It definitely rocks!

thanks!  you're right, a tin or something would look better! i have a few more things i specifically want to do, and finding matching boxes or something to hold some of my toiletries is definitely on that list!

i, too, have a soft spot in my heart for the virgin mary (my parents even named me after here in italian...yay?)
i collect kitschy catholic stuff too and someday, i want to decorate a guest room(if i ever have one)all in catholic kitsch.

so i say, way to go - so great !!

the shade of blue was really just a fluke - it was left over from a dresser my sister painted. she used to work at home depot in the paint department and she'd buy the mistints that were cool colours and save them for future projects. i really like it though!

my family thinks i'm crazy, but they're used to it! i'm not as sure what my extended family will think, but i've already sworn that i refuse to take it down when they come to visit! my grandma might misinterpret it and think i've "found god" or something though.....
