Shawna ~ I applaud you for your patience that is for sure!

Thank you for your comments mommabear ~ my birthday is always a hard time for me and with the crap of last week it did not help anything.  My fiance finally left for home and I think I am going to take a long nap & try to shake the away the birthday blues.  I was going to run some errands and pick some things up for my projects -- but it is so hot right now I think they will wait until morning and I will finish everythign up tomorrow.

Here's a little update for all who are following the story of my trip north last weekend.  Apparently I left my sock that I was knitting in her car....And she is claming to not have enough money to send it to me.  She wants us to come up there and get it.
God help me....

God help you, indeed.

Anyone else notice that the postal service keeps raising their rates and shortening their hours?

Thank goodness I'm not the only one a little late, I was called out of town over a week ago for an emergency just got back a couple of hours ago. But before leaving town we had a heavy rain the flooded the basement wiping out half my swap items to mail, including this one. So now I have the items to redo and finish it off sassysword's package should be in the mail to her tomorrow, hang on tight I promise it is coming!!

I sent to Tucanchild this morning!  And I even survived the creepy guy who cleans the 24 hour post office.

stargazersewer: Instead of shortening their hours, ours just stays unlocked 24/7 with a self-serve machine that does just about everything.  That way you only have to bother the postal workers for a few unusual things.  The only thing is that they very rarely refill the free supplies (priority envelopes, boxes, and such) so while you can go there at 4am if you like, you had better have your own shipping materials.

I have everything almost all completed.  I should have it boxed up tomorrow and in the mail Thursday.  I know I do as much without having to go to the post office as possible.  Normally I print the postage & get ecerything ready & leave it at the front desk at work for the postal carrier to pick up.  But, I am on vacation this week so will have to venture to the post office.
