excellent job - beginner or no!  And thanks for the link to the original - my 11 year old son (the one in my av) just purchased a DS lite and in his words "That is awesome! Can you buy one?"  To which I replied, "No, but I can make one" 

I think I even have most of the materials on hand - sweet.

Heehee.. I'm imagining the dialogue as something from a Schwarzenegger movie, you being Arnold and replying - after removing the cigar from his mouth - with a thoughtful and comforting oneliner: "No, but I can make one.."
