Ok, so this still isn't 100% finished, but that's ok.  I actually finished knitting this in January or so and finished the seaming in March.  I wasn't motivated to finish because I wasn't sure I liked how it was turning out.  The armpit seams were too tight, did I like the length?, what would I wear underneath it?, etc..
I still haven't woven in the ends because I had been seriously thinking of frogging it and knitting something else with the yummy yarn.
However, I think I've finally decided that I like it.  I plan on weaving in those pesky ends on my loooooong plane ride to Northern Europe this weekend.

It's been raining outside, so the photoshoot had to be done inside and things came out a little dark.  With flash:

That's not the true color, but you can see how it fits.

Without flash:

Many thanks to the "sheer jersey chemise" from American Apparel for renewing my faith in this sweater!  I need to buy some more of those..

Laying on the floor.  This is the best representation of the color.

Yarn: plymouth suri merino
Pattern: Embellished V-Neck from Vogue Knitting Fall 2006
Notes: I made the smallest size and because I'm lazy I decided to leave the embellishments off even though I've made 5/6 of them.  I aggressively blocked the shoulders/armpits to get them to not be so awful looking.  I also left off the weird crochet detail around the neck.  I suck at crochet and it looked bad.

I'm starting to love this sweater.   Grin

Oh, no, you should definitely weave in the ends and wear it, over a white undershirt maybe.  It looks great, and the color is so rich, like velvet.  I love it.

thanks..   that's all my mom's doing.  I guess our family really likes rich jewel tones.

I ended up doing some marathon weaving and was able to wear it out last night.  Grin
