Actually, it's a dpn (double pointed knitting needles) holder I made for Ambraqi!  I was in a private swap with her in February, and we swapped a dpn holder for a lovely lovely scarf she made me.  Well, it took my lazy ass so long to make her dpn holder (it took me two flippin months....SO SORRY, ambraqi!!) that I felt really bad, so I made her a matching purse.  She loved the fabric, and she had one of those bags in her wists, so I thought it would be perfect.

So here they are!  I love the pirate fabric too, cute and funny!

Und the bag!  I used drapery fabric for the interior that I got at my local drapery store when they had their awesome gigantic sale.  I got over 50 yards of fabric for $20!!!!  Unfortunately, they only have a sale once a year, and it already passed.

thanks for looking, and thanks for doing a private swap with me, ambraqi, even though I was a lazy poohead!

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

Both are beautiful!  I love the style of the bag, as well as that gorgeous fabric; and the pirate-y fabric was such a nice surprise to see!!  Great work on both!  Cheesy

color me blonde but I never would have recognized that as the tutorial that inspired this purse and I had to check it out and it is, what a difference the fabric makes. Love both of your bags, want to make one soon.
