Nice scarf, artteacher, but I must ask: is it soft or scratchy? I have some skeins of Noro Kureyon that i really want to turn into this scarf, but I fear it being too scratchy (even with a wash in hair conditioner) to wear.

Have you found it comfortable, honestly? It's beautiful!

Knitty:  It's NOT NORO.. it's 'fake NORO' and 100 acrylic.. it's soft!

AND the yarn cost me.. drumroll... $8.00 total to make the scarf. 

*I also made one in pink and a darker purplish color for the Red Scarf Project!  (they really should make these computers w/ a 'feel-it-screen' ability, don't you think?

Here's a photo of the RED SCRAF projects.. The one of the far left is out of the 'fake noro yarn'.. 100% acrylic.. 2 yarns.. one pink and one in the purple/cranberry family.  This is the scarf pattern in "LAST MINUTE KNTTED GIFTS"

Noro is pretty darn soft when it's blocked.  I wash my knits in baby wash.  I have sensitive skin, and I can wear my Noro scarf without any itching.

I made this scarf from Kureyon, cast on four less for a better "grown-up" length.  I don't like scratchy stuff but this one gets softer as you wear it.  It's my favorite scarf, it goes with everything.

Yes, that's a roll of toilet paper modeling the bonnet.
I used Rowan Kid Classic and for the border I used Plymouth Encore. This was my first time doing I-cord.
