Thank you!  I used Lambs Pride Bulky in Kiwi and Onyx.  I made it for my uncle, I hope he likes it!

That's such a cool hat.  How did you get the spiral pattern?

It's the pattern in the book.  The decreases make it spiral that way.

Basically you decrease like this:

Row 1: *Knit 6, knit 2 tog*
Row 2: knit
Row 3: *Knit 5, knit 2 tog*
Row 4: knit
Row 5: *Knit 4, knit 2 tog*

...So on and so forth.

Repeat between *'s

so you don't do the row of knits between them then?  Very cool.  I like the spiral a lot, and the yarn you used really makes it stand out.

oops, I fixed it, you do knit a whole row between every decrease.  I  blame my poor memory on my children.

Hey guys, here are a few things from Last Minute Knitted Gifts:
Here is an ear-flap hat for my stepfather. I used Manos Del Uruguay and some scraps of something else (Briggs and Little, I think).


Here is one of Kim's hats for my mum, also in Manos-I love this yarn, its beautiful and it even smells good!

These are the women's wrist warmers, also for my mum. Once I wrapped my head around the thumbhole, it was really fun to knit.

Gorgeous stuff!  My book is lost in the mail and has been for six days and Barnes and Noble doesn't care.  I am so bummed but the pics of your amazingprojects are keeping me inspired. 

Fortuantely, I don't need it for gifts (Hanukah long gone and all) but it would be nice to have for all the freet imeI am going top have until New Year's Day.

o, Booglass, I'm sorry  When you do get your book you should make a bit of a fuss, and I betcha they'll give you a coupon or gift certificate- I did this with Amazon and was successful.
