I love that scarf and have wanted to make it since I got the book because it looks fun (not my usual reaction to knitting scarves!). I want to know, though, is the Kureyon a bit scratchy for you? Did you wash it after knitting? Thanks!

Wow! I really like the Rainbow scarf!
I also did something with Noro Kureyon: a mini sweater! I used the left-overs from my armwarmers from SNB Nation. It was my "first" sweater, if you can consider it a sweater...
Here it is:

I have absolutely no idea what to do with it, though! lol

I love your mini sweater! Get some wire, bend it into shape of a hanger and you've got yourself an ornament. If it's big enough, it could also be an egg cozie like in Wendy Felick's Weekend Knitting..

The Kureyon was kind of scratchy to work with, but it's oddly not so bad all knitted up.  I'm going to block it and see if that doesn't make it a little softer.  I recently made some fingerless mitts from Kureyon (I'm addicted) and they were surprisingly not scratchy.  Then again, my hands are pretty calloused so perhaps I just didn't notice!

That is a super-cute little sweater.

Atouria,  Your sweater looks great! I can't believe it is your first and you made adaptions too! I'm still working to get the courage up to do a sweater, for I cannot sew!! Congratulations!

Thanks so much, linda!  The big deal with me, for sweaters, is that it's a lot of work to frog if you royally screw it up.  As long as you check your gauge (I checked mine a lot at first, then I relaxed a bit) the sizing should be ok.  Sweaters aren't hard, it's just the patterns that can sometimes be confusing!

You gotta just jump in and go for it!

Its BEAUTIFUL!! You should be so proud! And I lovelovelove the colour. It looks very flattering on you, and I'm sure you'll get tons more compliments and your husband will have to beat all the men off of you when you're out shopping together at the mall   Tongue
Sorry to hear about your issues with the KG--I'd be a bit anxious to get my yarn after a month of waiting. I've always had good luck with them, so hopefully its just an anomaly.

I *just* got my copy after waiting for (what feels like) forever for a new printing.  So so so happy I waited.  I spent an hour in the bath last night, carefully protecting the book from drips, enjoying all the shots, reading the patterns and fantasizing about making absolutely everything!

I happened to have a single ball of GGH Kid-Soft in Ruby in the stash (leftover from what we politely call the "Grace Fiasco") and knit up the Airy Scarf to use (as suggested in this thread) as a headscarf!  I love that the time-designation was pretty accurate (less than 4 hours on this baby for sure) and it's absolutely adorable.  I'll post pics when my hair is dry.  Mohair in my hair doesn't seem hot.
