The Solution?

My class dubbed me The Horned Beast.

Horns are made of rings of twisted newspaper covered in tape and netted together. Dress top was formed by interweaving string on some thinck rope tied onto a dress form, and lined with a fabric created by covering newspaper with several layers of masking tape. The bottom was long hair-weave-like strips of newspaper braids attached to a under-net structure. Sandals are heavy rope coiled into soles with smaller coiled tops and straps. There is a cloak that is mostly hidden in this shot, made with sushi-like rolls of newspaper joined together.

I look unhappy because it is very unconfortable to wear. Masking tape and newspaper on your tender parts (I could not wear a bra) is extremely unpleasant. And I could not move my head very well. But experimental costuming is not functional, so I think it is okay. I may go back and revisit some of the techniques I developed with fabric to make something more wearable.

Very creative!  The dress is just too cute!  Your accessories are over the top and fun...and as you said, probably not super comfortable or functional, but definitely a basis for future projects!
Just awesome!
