my husband and I have multiple weddings we were invited to this summer, and while I was making one for our friends' wedding,  I realized I should just make all of them at once. Sooo, behold, wedding cards for the rest of the season!

I made them from scraps of felt, silk and an old t-shirt, old cardstock from my wedding, and the envelopes are from the recycle bin (an old manilla folder, and some magazines). I'm so happy that I made these for free!!

The letters were cut out and then I sewed through the middle of them. Easy and nice-looking, I think...oh, and the letters are the couple's first initials.

thanks for looking!

How cool - they will love the cards!  Such a nice way to personalize presents.  How did you make those cool envelopes?

thanks everyone! I'm always sort of uncertain if the things I make are cute enough to give away/have other people like them...the life of being a crafter, i guess... Roll Eyes

anarchy, I based my envelopes on this:
http://paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/34320424.html?cm_id=2550.030

basically, you take a circle that has the same diameter as a square's length (these were both 5.75"), and then trace the square, and trace the half-circle at each edge of the square....you have to put it diagonal on two facing magazine pages if your square is larger than 4 or 5". Then fold on the edges of the square, and fold the "petals" over each other - ta da!
Hope that makes sense and isn't too badly explained!!!
