I'm SO glad you like everything!! The quotes are great, I was laughing so hard while I was hunting for them. My favorites were from Bukowski...

1- "I don't like jail, they have the wrong kind of bars in there."
and 2- "Sometimes you just have to pee in the sink."

The "courage to be a nobody" one is my favorite from Salinger. The stamped words on the back are a quote too.

I received from kmsmaverick today and I feel like a total schlub now!  kmsmaverick - do not open the package I sent - sent it back!!!!  I owe you an extra goodie or twenty.....or so....

Here's what I got:
a HUGE gorgeous bag with large pockets inside and outside and beautiful fabrics.  My daughter is already trying to steal it!

A reading quilt - I love the colors and the edgings:

The most adorable triangle bag and it had book holder openers in it!  They say "Borrow  Read   Return":

A reading journal - isn't the cover CUTE?? A historical fiction and an application for a library card for her local library - you never know, I may need it someday. Wink

That's not to mention the funny, sweet notes that were included.  I am just floored to have had such a fantastic partner!!!  Thank you again! Grin

My loot has come!  Everything is super retro and very library chic.  My partner even included literature from her library and made packaging for her art from old bookcards and cardpockets.  Here it is:

Magnets:

ATC Cards and Bookplates:

Pinup Coasters:

A super detailed altered art book with book charms, quotes and paraphernalia:

And my favorite piece... "Shimmering Mary Todd" - artwork showing Mary Todd (w/Abe's photo in a locket) decoupaged under shimmery wrap:

Dina = Best swap partner ever!  Thanks!

I'm one pleased librarian as well.  When I heard about this swap, I knew it was meant to be.

I received my uber fabulous box from LibraryLolita today. I am hoping that she took pictures before she sent out, because I am leaving any moment for a week in the midwest looking at colleges with my daughter and I won't have time to post pics yet.BUT I will describe the delicious craftiness I received from the best swapper ever!
I told her that I really like recycled art and she went to town!!
I got
A recycled cigar box painted and decoupaged with an old children's book.
An original "Brenna" painting of a blue unicorn on an old Reader's Digest Book cover.
A LARGE suncatcher that says "Quiet" with a pair of glasses
A beaded ring which says "quiet"
Two domino pendants of "Where the Wild Things Are"
A beautiful altered book clutch purse with a yellow polka dot clasp.
This was an incredible swap for me...I really LOVE the Library Grin Grin Grin
Thanks, Brenna

I recieved my fabulous package from flowerwitch yesterday.  I've taken some pics on my mobile phone, but I'm still trying to work out how (and if!) I can send them to my computer and post them up here.

I got
a handstiched bookbag
a 101 dalmations bookmark
a cute flowery mug for my tea
a beaded flower coaster to put the mug on
and a copy of one of flowerwitch's favourite books.
