I love it!!  The fabric is great and I love the curve at the top of the bag.  The pocket on the outside is nice too.  Great job.  Use it with pride.

Aw, thanks everyone!  Shocked

Rockin cool, runnermom!!!  LOVE paisley and the quilting is great!!  I completely understand the "keeping it for me" sentiment.... sometimes it is just sooooo hard the "cut the umbilical, man" Cheesy  Fabulous work!!!
OHHH, do the straps run the length of the purse on the outside??  Is this your own orginal pattern?-- thanks

That's funny!  I guess our little creations become like our kids or something...haha!  Grin  The straps do go all the way to the bottom, measuring about 52" long by about 1 1/2" wide (I cut them around 54").  I didn't use a pattern, but I did sort of look at VB bags to get inspiration.  The bag basically measures about 14" wide across the top, about 11 1/2" tall, tapering to about 10" tall where the curve is in the center, and the outer pockets are each about 6" wide by 7" tall.  The inside pocket goes the width of the bag by about 6" tall and I split it into 3.  For the curve, I just made a big paper pattern measuring 16" wide by 15" tall, folded it in the center vertically, unfolded and marked a center point 1 1/2" down from the top.  I also marked a point 5" in from either side.  Then, I folded it again and drew a curved line from one of the 5" marks to the center mark and cut it, then opened it up.  That way, I had a symmetrical curve, which measures 6" wide.

Love the style and colors, nice how you trimmed the outer pocket with bias made from the lining. P.S. I think you under price your work girl!
