I'm new to spinning but wanted to share.  This is my third attempt:  I'm noticing more consistency and I am in love with these colors!  I posted two photos because the darker red is covered now by the pink color....

Mmmm...the mint chip looks scrumptious! And the red/pink/white on the spindle.

Wren - bulky merino wool in shades of green, brown, pink, blue, and soft mustard yellow, plied with recycled 80% lambswool 20% angora in shades of blue, green, and black.

Impossible Birds - merino with bits of pink, blue, and pale yellow mohair and hot pink recycled sari silk, plied with seafoam green holographic thread.

Lichen - bamboo in shades of mossy greens & pinks, with bits of recycled sari silk, all plied together  with white thread.

Here's what I did this week. Yarn Pirate BFL roving in the Koi colorway.   About 202 yards of dk weight from 4.2 ounces of fiber.   I've got a review of the Yarn Pirate roving on my blog.

For graduation, I got a drum carder, and have been carding my brains out.  Here's a couple batts (I'm a chicken, and won't card more than an ounce on my Strauch Petite...  Is it possible to card more?  I don't want to cram it too full)

and here are a couple of handspuns from my carded batts.

and finally, meet Huxley, my new spinning buddy, a chestnut agouti English Angora.

I'm totally in love with his little fuzzface.   Cheesy

I've (finally) been busy this week.  I tend to spin the most in the spring, weave the most in the fall and fill in the summer and winter with sewing, knitting, crocheting and whatever else I can think of.   All this just explains why I have five pics this week Smiley

this one was a beautiful batt that I got from knitwit

this one was from SpunkyEclectic

This is a FOTM from Spunky called Strawberry Fields

This is some handpainted merino I got at a local yarn/spinning store

This one is some optim that I got from the same LYS.  It was (is, of course I already went back to get more Wink ) heavenly to spin.

All of your yarns are so beautiful!  Thanks for inspiring me year round even though I'm just a springtime spinner Smiley

Oops.  I almost forgot...

Like hobbledehoy, I have a new spinning buddy

Her name is Seven and there are many more pics of my new baby on my blog

I think this is my first time showing off on Friday. Today all of the yarn is spindle spun spingals about a DK weight.

Hand dyed Corridel

bought roving black wool with rainbow silk noil.

Hand dyed and carded roving
Alpaca, corridel, silk noil, and sparkle ^^
This yarn will have ivy leaves, green silk dupioni, and white iridescent sequence spun into it. . . maybe

All the yarns and bats are lovely this week.
I <3 the Tiffany's yarn.
Huxley is adorable @_a
