Have you ever had those times where an idea wakes you up in the middle of the night and you can't sleep until you've constructed whatever it is? Well this is one of those.
I actually made it sometime last year, but I just discovered the miracle of Craftster, so I thought I would share.

here it is modeling my loverly earrings, of which only a few were made by me (sorry to say).
Its probably been done before by someone or another, but I still love it. I'm proud of very few things, but this is one of them.

What a great idea! I've seen the ones with screen in the frame, but I like the ribbon so much better. I better go out and buy some cute ribbon now:)

Do the earrings just stick into the ribbon?  I have an extra frame and some cute ribbon, a million messy earrings and some free time so this might be a good thing to do!

thank you guys so much! I actually love it to pieces but always figured it was one of those things that only I like (my taste differs from that of my friends).

Angelaah, yes the earrings stick through the ribbon, which isn't as hard to do as i thought it would be. I figured the ribbon would just look yucky, but it has stayed pretty and I have been using it for about a year now. My only problem is that the bigger ribbons that have more earrings tend to sag a little, as the picture shows. Just need to find a way to tighten it up, i suppose.

Hmm. I think when I make mine I am going to wrap the ribbon around a screw, and only have it screwed in partially. That way, as the ribbon sags I can give the screw a twist and tighten the ribbon.

However, that might take too much work, so I might just stick with a staple gun:P

sounds like a pretty clever idea. But I just used a staple gun, and then some hot glue because I'm paranoid about it falling off or something. hehe.
