This is definitely one of my favorite things I've made so far.  I wanted it a little bit deeper, but I think it's fine the way it is.  I still have tons of the fabric left, so I can always try again if I want to. I used two layers of thick craft interfacing on the bottom to reinforce it.  It was pretty easy, but working with vinyl can still be frustrating.  So, what do you guys think?

It looks like it's constructed with a bunch of squares, but it's not.

I topstitched some of the outside edges together to help keep the square shape, but I think I'll leave it un-topstitched next time.

Boy, I'm getting a LOT of mileage out of that wavy fabric I used for the lining!

I thought the same thing!  I told my boyfriend "it looks like a vinyl bento-box or something!"

I want to do a lunchbag out of it.  Smiley

How was it sewing through the vinyl?  Did you use a special needle and/or thread?  I love it!

Hi Beantown! Thanks!  I've discovered the secret to sewing through clear vinyl (and I'm probably going to get crucified for saying this...) is using a thin, lightweight needle.  It just seemed like every time I tried to use a heavier-duty needle, it just got stuck in the vinyl and ultimately bent, yanked out, etc.  Otherwise, sewing with vinyl is actually pretty fun.  Tissue is your best friend though, even if you do have a teflon foot.
