Man, I think I'm going nuts...

So I've been trying to locate pattern paper to...well...make my patterns on for the stuff I'm going to sell in my new etsy shop and no where I can think of in Madison seems to carry it...What the hell

I've called:

Hancock Fabrics
Joann Fabrics
University Bookstore (Hilldale and State Street)
Masco Art Supply
Micheal's

And to no avail...I think I'll try Gayfeather next, but does anyone know where i can find some in Madison?

The last time I had to buy some I was in New York City and my college's bookstore had it in stock.  I swore that they had it at the University Bookstore (at least I was pretty sure that's where my classmates had gotten theirs...)  but the guy I talked to on the phone said he was 100% positive they didn't have it, and the time before that I ordered it from Nancy's Notions (which is what I used in my design classes), but I don't want to have to do that and pay the shipping...though I might have to.

Any ideas?  Anybody?

I've basically gone nuts trying to find this crap.  Why in the world would craft stores which are trying to encourage u to create (especially fabric stores...) not carry something that's the base for designing things!   Argh!!!!   Angry

So yeah I ended up going down to UBS to see in person if there was any, but I got there with literally 3 minutes to spare until they closed and didn't see a thing that would work.  Eff that.

And actually i mis spoke about there not being pattern paper at Hancock Fabrics, I called them and they do actually have some but it's the grid kind (I just like plain white) and they charge for it by the yard... 1.79 a yard.  That's insane I'm not going to pay 1.79 a yard for PAPER.

I ended up ordering paper from Nancy's Notions, like I talked about doing before.  It was 6.98 for a 30 or 36 inch wide roll (not sure u can check www.nancysnotions.com to make sure)  edit:  21 inches wide and it was like 77 feet of paper.  If you just ended up ordering that the shipping would be 5.99...but I ordered a ruffler foot as well so mine was 7.99 for shipping.  So yeah...basically 13.00 for a 77 foot roll of paper sure beats 1.79 a yard, even if it is wider, if u ask me...

yeah I would prefer getting some a bit wider... I've used this in the past and it works for what i need it for, but wider is better...will probably have to search online for wider paper i can order for next time.  If I find anything good I'll let you know!
