so ever since i began working at Joann fabrics, i've been eyeing this silver Lamé that we have. i discovered a remnant of it in the remnant bin, which means 50% off plus my discount! let me tell you, this was exactly what i was looking for to make a bikini top, and i was quite excited.
last night i finally got around to making the top. i was nervous because i didn't want to mess up... obviously.
here's the 1 am pictures(right after i finnished it, that is)

(on me)

(on my trusty dress form- thank you again brian!)

please excuse the grainy cell phone camera pictures

i think it's kinda 70's inspired. i guess alot of my stuff kinda comes out like that... i'm not exactly sure why.

The boys i mean are not refined
They cannot chat of that and this
They do not give a fart for art
They kill like you would take a piss
They speak whatever's on their mind
They do whatever's in their pants
The boys i mean are not refined
They shake the mountains when they dance

ooh, I like that!  Makes me wanna boogie. Grin  Does it tie in back?  Now I'm inspired (especially after looking at this seasons swim suits at the store-they never fit me right.)  Great job!

Does it tie in back?

actually i just sewed it together at a length that is short enought to "support" me and long enough to not make me hunchbacked. i found that i like twisting it because it looks pretty cool and just that much different.

actually, it does not have cups in it. i kinda see my self as fortunate because i'm not really too big or too small in the chest area, and therefore i have enough to fill it out and keep it in place, but not enough to be bouncing out all over the place. plus, i double lined it to make sure i'm not getting the "wet t-shirt" look.

my boy is quickly falling in love with american apparel so we go there all the time, but i am just too cheap to buy things there. that and i work at a fabric store...
