I'm finally posting something I made!

I made a whole whack of these little books a while ago (they were quite addictive) and gave most away, but I still have these two and am still pleased by them!  I just thought I would show off a little.

two books:

the spines:

and on my hand, for scale:

Thanks for looking!

Cute.  Have you put anything inside them?

Would you mind explaining how you made them-or direct us to a tut?

I made some that were tiny recipe books- one recipe per book, but these ones I've just left blank thus far.

They're not really that complicated but it would be hard to explain in writing.  It's just basic bookbinding techniques- the inside pages are sewn onto cardstock that is already folded into the shape of the cover.  I then cut strips of leather, which is sewn on to the cover and wrapped around to hold the book closed.  Does that help at all?  I'm sure you could search for "bookbinding" on google or something and find instructions.

Those are absolutely beautiful. The color of everything and the leather straps holding them closed are wonderful. Really really great job. Your stitching reminds me of the Keith Smith Non-Adhesive Binding book that I've been lusting over since I was introduced to it several weeks ago. Again, they're wonderful.

june-leaves...those are so cool! I've made a tiny coptic stitch journal - but nothing as small as yours. Fascinating. I love 'em!
