I recently adopted the cutest Jack Russel-Poodle dog. I noticed that while taking her out to the backyard in the mornings and at nights to do her business that she would shiver from the cold. I browsed Target's selection of doggie clothes, but none were on clearance (I'm a cheap-o). So I found this free basic pattern online (http://sewing.circleofcrafters.com/freepetvestpattern.html) to use to make this little dress for her! teehee!

I added velcro for closure at the neck and chest, a bow at the neck, and an eyelet trim to the bottom hem.

Aw, that's such a cute dress! My dog doesn't like those though, but I'm going to make one for her anyway! Do you have any pictures of your dog we can see?

Aww! I love the fabric. The bow and lace are cute additions too! I wish I had a little dog that I could dress up!

Sure, of course. Here she is! Pardon my messy room and her freaky glowing eyes. haha

Awww, puppy stretch!

Hooray for dog-adoptions and dog-owners who want to keep their little buddies warm! The details are great; it's way better than anything you could have gotten at Target, you know. That little ruffle at the bottom just keels me.
