hey y'all!
I might be moving to Utica soon and i've been trolling the web trying to find some cool stuff going on and it seems like i've found the right place! Looks like Utica's got a decent craft scene, at least more kickin' than Fairbanks, Alaska, where I'm living now...I grew up in the Syracuse area, so i'm familiar with Central NY but must admit i've spent almost zero time in Utica...
Any advice for me? Where are the cool hangouts?
hope to be there in time for the indie garage sale july 7! cheers!

We're on craftster because we love to create. Why should we settle for what we currently are?

It's always nice to welcome folks to town!  But everyone always gets asked "How'd you end  up HERE?"  But I boomeranged back here and though it might take some getting used to, I do like it here.

What are you looking for?  Craft supplies-wise, we've got AC Moore, Michaels, Jo-Anns and the local Nudo's

Great coffee and more tea than you can count at Mojoz's.  That's where we do a craft night too.  They also have great desserts and lunches.

Great restaurants with food from everywhere.  Definitely try the Chicken Riggies, though everyone has their own idea of who has the best.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like and let me know if there's something I can help with.

I find joy in creating and helping others create not just jewelry and crafts but best of all, the life they want.

Awesome! I'm totally stoked about the coffee and crafts, two of my favorite things! I just started getting into crafting since living in the frozen north and am looking forward to having a community of crafters to draw on for support, inspiration, etc. Right now, it's just me and one other person!

Thanks for the scoop on craft stores and hangouts, it's exactly what I needed to hear. If I move back, it will be this summer after 10 years away from Central NY. So while I'm familiar with the area, it's been a while!
