I'm so excited to try this!
I am a mom to 11 month old and have been saving daddy's old shirts for something like this. i'm a newbie sewer so I don't feel too bad if I screw up and have to toss it, after all the shirts were going to goodwill anyway before I commandeered them.
Now just to convince her to have longer naps so i can actually attempt this!
Thanks for all the pics - there can never be too many in a tutorial in my opinion!

I really keep meaning to try this but my other half doesn't have as nice shirts as the ones you have all used, no Hawaiian shirts lol.  Will have to pop to the charity shop to see what I can find.

This tutorial set me into a sewing spree.  I went to Goodwill on a day that had 2 for 1 sale. I bought up many shirts and came home to sew.
My little Isabelle has 3 new dresses all made from men's shirts.
Little Le Le awaits her new dresses.

I love this tutorial. I just finished making my 8th dress from men's shirts. Today's was a black and white seersucker.  I have a friend who has started an embroidery business. She is going to make orange and red butterflies on the front yoke. 

I love this pattern so much... and my grandgirls look so sweet in their dresses and everybody is amazed that it is made from a man's dress shirt.
