Thank you, thank you, thank you!  Love this idea, as does everyone who I have shown it to.  My sister is working on a few dresses for my niece who is 7- we went out to a thrift shop and bought some big and tall shirts, which will make them long enough for her, and this will solve the problem of the dress code requiring straps that are at least 1 inch wide.

that's so awesome! i'd love to see pics of the dresses. i hadn't sewn anything in yeeeeeeeears before finding Craftster a few months ago, and NEVER without a pattern. i bet it's not long before you can thread that machine in your sleep! Wink
