Hello from a newbie.  A friend of mine sent me this link and I just had to try it.  Aside from curtains and the occasional Halloween costume, this is the first real piece of clothing I have ever made.  I gotta tell ya....when I stepped back and took a look I couldn't believe it.....I did that!!  Thank you for making it so easy and I look forward to more.

I just started teaching myself to sew a few weeks ago and this was my 3rd project. I love the tutorial. It was so easy to follow. Great job!

adorable! thanks for the very clear instructions. We have a grandson but if a sister or girl cousin comes along, I'd love to make some of these! I was looking for a smock idea using recycled shirts... maybe this could be adapted to that.

I had to sign up for this message board just so I can say thanks for this great idea!  I saw it a couple days ago and went right out to Goodwill to find a couple shirts.  Here are the ones I made for my girls!
