Decoupaged boxes

I have two boxes (orange and green) I use to store deco booklets. The boxes were quite wobbly and after a year or so they started to look like they'd fall apart one day.  Then I have one box (violet) for miscellanious deco material that doesn't fit anywhere else. This box is an old box for chocolate. I wanted to make the two wobbly ones sturdier and to make all the boxes better looking so I decided to finally give decoupage a try.

I used bits and pieces I'd stored from deco making and other projects. Then I blotted some ink over the design.

Wow those are really pretty... those are all cardbaord boxes?   They look awesome!  Would be really prety to pack gifts in....

They came out beautiful Chirel! Impresive how you can turn an empty chocolate box into that!
What kind of decopage medium did you use?  what kind of papers did you use...thin/thick?

Laamissa, I used any kind of paper there was, from really thick to really thin, copy paper, magazine paper, hand-made paper, really anything.

The glue and varnish I used were commercial, a german product (Efco). I'm really thinking that in future I'd try diluted PVA glue or something less expencive. I just bought these, because they were on discount and I wanted to get started and see how it goes. I'm quite sure that one can manage without all these expencive special glues.
