Does anyone know how wide fabrics were in which decades? I've been going off the design to age a fabric but I've come across some plain lilac crepe which I suspect is as early as 1930s but I can't find out how to date it.

Here is an interesting article on vintage fabric in the early part of the 20th century: http://www.fabrics.net/joan1000.asp
