The best part of amigurumi is that is is all done in single crochet in the round. So as long as you can single crochet, increase and decrease, you can make amigurumi!

The ferret shelter I volunteer with does outreaches to educate people about ferret ownership and the things that ferrets need to be safe and comfortable. We take a cage, litter box, water bottle, hammock, etc. to these outreaches to illustrate a comfy cage set up. One of the ladies I work with has back problems and has trouble with all this stuff. I would love to make her a miniature cage set up to take with her to make it easier on her back. I think your crocheted ferret would be a good start to this plan, plus it's Cute with a capital c.
