A few weeks ago I bought a plain round mirror at a crafts store and I've been trying to find a way to embellish it. So just a few minutes ago I was looking at the mirror and realized that it was about the size of a CD... and I ran straight to my collection of AOL disks. I chose five (all in the same color family), lay them together so they made a star/daisy pattern, and then glued my mirror onto them. It created a really cute daisy mirror with blue/purple AOL disk "petals". You could probably also do this with rectangular mirrors or even plain picture holders.

you could also try cutting up those cds into squares and gluing them around the border of the mirror, a la mosaic/ discoball style.  IKEA sells mirrors lookin like that, but making your own is always better!
