80's Hairstyle Rock and Roll

It's almost Mothers' day, and I'm totally broke, so I decided to make presents instead of buying big expensive ones.  This one if for my boyfriend's mom, and I'm going to get to work on my mom's tonight.  I used the "one-night glam" pattern from The Happy Hooker.  It looks nothing like it's supposed to, and in that sense it's a complete failure, but I think it looks pretty nifty the way it came out.  It's crocheted 24 gauge (mystery metal) wire with glass beads.

So, pictures!

Please forgive my lack of photography skills.

Here it is on my lovely rolling pin/model.

My fish likes it!

It's my first time working with wire, so if you have any comments, suggestions or tips, I'd really appreciate it.

oh it's gorgeous! I have always been a bit intimidated by the idea of crocheting wire, and I think you did a fantastic job!
