Not because of how it was constructed or because I did a bad job or anything, but because it is the stupidest looking bag ever.

My friend's boyfriend wanted us to make him a bag, so we had him pick out fabric, and try as we might, we could not dissaude him from this.

He's going to think it's funny for about a day and then never use the bag again.

I also decided to make him a wallet, to make up for how long it took me to finish the bag. And because I decided a matching wallet would be quite funny.

The horse is cut out of the fabric we used for the lining of the bag, and the lining of the wallet is the same. There's large pocket for cash and two for cards. My seams are really shitty because I was really sick of sewing with such ugly fabric.

If you squint your eyes and tilt your head slightly to the left
You can pretend those are the horses from LOTR Tongue

I love that fabric and I think it makes such an adorable messenger bag Smiley! Hahah no Im kidding. But it is kinda cute and dorky in a way. Who knows... he might ACTUALLY like the fabric and Im sure hes not the only one either. The wallet was a cute idea too.

I think it's pretty cool.  That horsey fabric is awesome!!!  The way you sewed on the horse to the wallet is pretty cool too.  I like it!!!

I'm trying to think of something that would look good in that horse fabric.... am failing so far. Does your friend's boyfriend like horses a lot?

Otherwise it's a nice bag Wink

Oh my.  I have a blanket made of the horse fabric and something very like the blue fabric... and I saw your pictures thinking "Someone stole my blanket?!"
The horses ARE a bit cheesy looking, but it's nice soft comfy fabric.

Haha, I think it is pretty neat. No one would notice the horse fabric while he was using the bag anyway. You did a pretty great job on it.

No, he's not into horses at all. He just thought it would be really hilarious to have that fabric. It is pretty funny, but.....he's not going to like it after a couple days of using it. Oh well.

Thanks for all the compliments, I was actually pretty pleased with how it turned out, other than the fabric. I guess it's nice that my first bag was out of fabric I didn't like and didn't pay for, so I didn't mind if I screwed it up. Took a bit of the pressure off.

My friend is giving it to him tomorrow, we'll see what he thinks!
