My mom used to take the feet of old tights and nylons and use them as faces for crocheted bodies. She would cut the feet off, stuff them with standard poly-fill, and then glue on googly eyes and embroider a small mouth. They were really cute! I distinctly remember a Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus she made with white tights. Smiley

Well, not so crafty, but as a Girl Scout counselor we would put soap in the end of each leg and hang them up next to the water troughs. The soap would stay put and not get dirty, but it was still very useable.

Hi if you can crochet or knit you can cut them into really long strips by cutting around the stockings in a spiral and then use them to knit or crochet rugs and bags etc out of them
I`m sure if you searched on the web you would find examples of what i`m talking about hope this helps Grin

ahh omg! i'm making my ball of "tighs" yarn now!!!!

I don't know if this has already been suggested, (I only read three pages), but I use my tights to store wrapping paper.  I put a couple of rolls of wrapping paper in each leg, then hang them over a coat hanger.  I have the coathanger with 3 pairs of nylons hung up in my spare room closet.  It keeps the paper rolls from unrolling, and the rolls up and out of the way!

fill them with some oatmeal and cinnamon and take a soothing bath.
my mom used to fix up old nylons for me to soothe my skin when i had the chickenpox

I was just going to say that...I added oatmeal plain and gave my daughter baths with them because she had HORRIBLE eczema when we lived in Northern Cali...

In a pinch I've used pantyhose in lieu of an ace bandage.  Not only gave support, but I could tie the ice pack on with them
